Take-in Days:  Tues & Thurs – 11am to 3pm, or by appointment.
Furniture, Equipment & Lg. Toys can be brought in any day as long as Buyer is in. CALL FIRST.

What We Take:  We accept children’s & maternity clothing, children’s equipment, furniture, and toys. All items must be clean,
in-style and in gently used or like new condition. Acceptance is based on desirability, season, and availability of space. Some items may require a recall check before being considered for take-in. All items need to be in laundry baskets, storage bins, boxes, or paper bags (please no plastic bags).

All clothing need to be washed, clean and folded with no stains, holes, tears, broken zippers or buttons. It is our policy to limit or
not accept price-point brands such as Wal-Mart, Target and Kmart  

All Equipment, Furniture & Toys must have been produced within the last 5 years, be fully assembled, clean and in working order
with all its pieces, working batteries if necessary, and instructions
if available.
Please limit your clothing to only 2 containers at a time.

Store Credit /Trade: We offer up to 50% of what we intend to sell your items for. Store Credit/Trade cannot be used towards new items, & items marked non-trade. Books and Videos are trade only for other books and videos. Some items will not be eligible for trade and will be offered on consignment.  Trade slips not interchangeable with Scotts Valley anymore due to different owners.

Consignment: We attempt to sell your items for two months, after 30 days items that have not sold may be reduced in price by as much as 50%. If you wish to remove any items prior to their sale or the
end of the agreement a handling fee of $2.00 per item will be issued.
*Clothing: size 2 & up can be on consignment

Little People’s Store agrees to pay Consignor a percentage of the final sale amount:

Children’s Clothing 40% - Maternity Clothing 40%
Equipment/Furniture/Large Toys 50%

Payments are made at the end of the consignment agreement and are paid by check for amounts $10 or more (any payments less than $10 will be issued store credit). Checks will be issued on the 20th of the month and will be held for 14 days, if you do not retrieve your payment within this time your payment will be forfeited. 

Once the agreement has expired any remaining merchandise will be removed from the sales area and you will have until the final pick up date to retrieve items.  Any items not retrieved will become property of Little People’s Store and may be donated. 

Cash: We offer 30% to you on name brand toys, clothing sizes 2 – 8 and up to 35% on some equipment.  Cash is based on availability so come early.

Shoes: Robeez, 7 toddler & up (in like new condition)

Equipment: Strollers, saucers, jumperoos, walkers, highchairs, booster highchairs, ergo carriers, pack n plays, gates, bumbo chairs & more!

Furniture: Chair/table sets, toddler beds, crib, co-sleepers

Toys: Wooden toys, ride on toys, trikes, balance bikes, activity tables, push/walk toys, Lincoln logs, legos, tinker toys, play mobil, games, puzzles, outdoor play structures, water tables, kitchen play sets, wagons, easels & more

The Little People's Store opened its doors on March 15th, 1990 at Brown’s Barn in Soquel. At that time there were no quality resale stores in the area. Ron and Shelly Leeman set out to build a store that their own family would like to shop in, with clean, quality children’s items with name brand clothing, furniture and baby equipment. Over the years the store has grown from its original 400 square foot space to now almost 1400 square feet to accommodate all your favorite merchandise.

In 2008 Ron and Shelly opened an additional location at 243 Mt. Hermon Road in Scotts Valley (Little Peoples Store of Scotts Valley), across from Bruno’s BBQ, in the Safeway CRV center.

In December 2009, Ron and Shelly sold the Soquel store to Tanya Strite, and it underwent a complete renovation. Although the store has a new owner and a new look it still retains the great products, prices, and family environment the store was founded on.   

We are always working hard to offer clean, fun products for our customers. We also have a great selection of new items.
